About
MISSION: To work to ensure veterans, active service members, and their families, receive the recognition and appreciation they deserve through powerful events that inspire all generations.
Beginning in 2015 a small group of citizen volunteers in the Boston North Shore towns of Hamilton and Wenham formed a team to bring together generational veterans for a series of personal lectures and accounts of their service in the military. That same year the group began the transition of Wenham Museum’s Military History Day to the independently produced Military Service Day at the Patton Homestead. The Homestead was the Hamilton, MA family home of General George S. Patton Jr and his wife Beatrice Aye Patton since 1928.
These combined engagements grew annually and forged relationships regionally and nationally with veteran’s organizations and a broad spectrum of the public. As of 2026 we are proud to have formalized our efforts as Project Service and Sacrifice, Inc., nonprofit 501 (c) (3) to support our existing programs and future initiatives. This mission is not political policy or government driven and receives no local or federal funding. Our Board of Trustees consists of legal, healthcare, corporate, marketing, active military service and retired military. Please support “The Community of Service” inspiring education and awareness histories of those then and now from the military.
